About Everton
Everton Maia was born in Itabira/MG, Brazil. He started playing the guitar at the age of 7 with his father, Eugenio. Everton graduated from his Bachelor’s degree in guitar performance from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) in 2018. Afterwards, he continued his education at the University of Arizona where he graduated with his Master’s Degree in guitar performance in 2022. He is currently pursuing his DMA degree in guitar performance with a minor in composition and jazz studies. Everton plays a 6 string guitar made by Paulo Marcos and a 7 string made by Cassio Martins.
